Okay, so this gal is super fun and cool and her session was SO unique. It was actually super crazy and fun and spontaneous, and it is always one of those sessions I look back on and grin about while also shaking my head.
We arrived at Eagle River after Aubrey had gotten off work, and we BARELY made it before sundown. We got some images with the gorgeous scenery, but then the unexpected UP weather and it's crazy storms decided to join us.
The clouds made it pretty difficult to get anything worthy of a senior portrait, but we still had some crazy and artistic fun with the weather. Lightning lit some shots, wind made others even more interesting. I made jokes and got Aubrey to giggle throughout the entire session.
So then, after we were aggressively interrupted by the lovely UP weather, we decided to reschedule a shoot. We decided to set-up a shoot in downtown Houghton, MI.
Shooting downtown was something I had wanted to do for awhile, and really challenged me to play with light and what was provided around me to get great shots. Aubrey was amaaazing and took direction SO, SO well. That SMILE tho! Literally lights up her face.
Senior sessions are SO SO fun. There is something so great about getting *that* smile from a senior. Getting them to tell me their dreams, their goals, and what they like to do for fun. Hoping I get to make a difference in their life, hoping they see themselves in a little better light after hanging with me.
